Use of fog fluid other than Industry Standard brand fluids from StarLight.com is strongly discouraged and will void the warranty. Other fluids may be diluted or unsuitable for our high performance machines. It's unlikely that a fog or haze machine would set off a smoke alarm, but it's always a possibility, depending on the proximity and sensitivity of the smoke detection apparatus. A haze machine is much less likely to set off a smoke alarm. If you use a "quick dissipating" fluid in the fog machine, it will reduce your chances of setting off an alarm as well.
